The Christmas season is a time to celebrate God and to give generously as our Heavenly Father gave to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, for the remission of our sins. It is a time to rejoice in our blessings, and to reflect on how we as God's children, can spread joy and kindness to our neighbor.
At Haddie's we are always looking for partners to help with maintaining our home so that it is a pleasant, inviting and nurturing place for the girls to live. On average our organization spends $40 a day to provide three healthy meals, $30 a day on utilities (i.e. gas, cable, and internet), $50 a month on school supplies and extracurriculars, $130 a month on medication, therapy and doctor and dentist visits, and $200 a month on resident activities and exercise. In sum, it costs Haddie's $30,000 to support each child per year. Therefore, the need for your graciousness and generosity is significant.

Our hearts are grateful this Christmas season for your prayers and support of our mission - to change the world one life at a time. While that may sound a bit grandiose, it's true. We are watching God work in the lives of young women and the changes we are seeing are changing their families, their peers, their communities and, ultimately, our world. Since being established in 2014, Haddie's has provided 20 girls in crisis situations with a safe place to reconnect with themselves and grow in their faith. This year alone, we were able to provide a home for nine different girls, with several making milestone accomplishments. One student graduated from high school and was accepted into college. This same young woman was able to move back home in September, and since moving back, her grandmother has reported a great change in her behavior, attitude, and her spiritual identity. In addition, two other girls that had been living at Haddie's were recently able to reunite with their families as a result of positive behavioral change. We are grateful that God's grace has impacted these girls, and as a result has changed their families. In 2017 alone, five girls accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and ultimately made the decision to be baptized as a demonstration of their new-found relationship with the Lord. While at Haddie's, the girls are encouraged to be an integral part of their community, and have working relationships with local agencies, ministries, churches and schools. The girls that Haddie's has been serving have upheld the commitment to be community oriented by staying involved in several different activities, including color guard, part-time jobs, and school clubs. Their involvement and commitment to community outreach helps create structure, responsibility, and philanthropy that allows for positive and productive change among the girls and their families.
Your continued financial support and prayers are a vital part of the Haddie's ministry. To make a year-end, tax deductible donation click the "Donate" button or contact our office for other ways you can invest in the lives young people. |
